Inspections

A Home Inspection is a visual process where all of the items typically used within a home are tested and /or operated to verify proper operation or installation.

  • Doors and windows are opened and closed, roofing materials inspected, air-conditioning and heating systems operated.

  • The Inspector will fill the sinks and tub(s), run the shower(s) and flush the toilets to test all components. All the while making detailed notes on the condition and operation of the components tested.

  • The next day your report will be emailed to the next business day.

New Construction Inspections

"YOU CAN'T CORRECT IT, IF YOU DON'T DETECT IT"

Our new construction inspections are performed after you have taken possession of your home. A full report and a summary will be emailed to you by the next business day. Two full-color hard copy summaries will be mailed to you, which usually takes 2-3 business days to arrive.

As an add-on service, we offer IR Fusion, Thermal Imaging of the building interior. If there is missing insulation or water leaking within the walls or ceiling on the surface, we can pick up the image and provide pictures of both the area and the thermal image. We then insert them directly into the report along with a recommendation. Certain conditions apply to provide the optimal differential for a top quality imaging report. This is a visual inspection aided by IR.

The IR Thermal Imaging is performed to the following standards:

ASTM C-1060 - ISO 7781-81 - EN 13187: 1998

1 or 2 Year Warranty Expiration Inspections

Warranty inspections are performed during the 11th or 23rd month of your 1 or 2 year Builder Warranty. The inspection will be performed to verify that proper building techniques were used and that the various components of the home were properly installed. The next business day, a completed report will be emailed to you along with digital photos taken as needed for inaccessible areas. A full color hard copy summary will be mailed the next day, which usually takes 1-2 business days to receive.
